I’m a Computer Science undergraduate focused on software engineering, especially backend systems, data-heavy applications, and applied AI/ML. I like getting past the demo stage and understanding how software works, figuring out where problems come from, and finding ways to make what I build more reliable. A lot of my growth has come from putting myself in unfamiliar environments where I have to learn quickly, adapt, and work through problems I haven’t seen before.

Beyond the technical side, I care about being someone a team can rely on. Experiences across software engineering, research, hackathons, and collaborative projects have taught me how important it is to communicate clearly, ask good questions, take ownership of my work, and stay open to feedback. I’m always looking for ways to improve, not only in what I can build, but in how I approach problems and work with the people around me.

Experience

Software Engineer Intern

SignalDeck

Jul 2026 - Sep 2026

Interned as a software engineer at a fintech startup building backtesting and trading-strategy infrastructure. Corrected a Backtester correlation bug by aligning P&L across shared trading dates, verified with over 180 automated tests across pytest, Jest, and Playwright. Architected forward testing between the Backtester and Scanner across FastAPI, MySQL, and AWS (ECS/Fargate, Lambda), defining safeguards for authorization, idempotency, and failure isolation.

Research Intern

Delaware State University | National Science Foundation

Jun 2026 - Aug 2026

Conducted NSF-funded research on wildfire remote sensing, building a scalable Python/PyTorch deep learning pipeline that generates pixel-level impact maps from before-and-after NASA satellite imagery across 28 U.S. wildfires. Curated and quality-controlled the underlying geospatial dataset, then built a full-stack geospatial AI application with React, MapLibre, FastAPI, and Amazon Bedrock for interactive wildfire map comparison and AI-assisted analysis.

AI Engineer Extern

Extern | Pfizer

Jun 2026 - Aug 2026
Extern | Pfizer logo

Externed as an AI engineer building a pharmaceutical document intelligence system using OCR, NLP, and RAG to extract, classify, and search supplier documents for compliance review. Automated multi-page PDF extraction with PyMuPDF, pdfplumber, and regex, then built a LlamaIndex RAG pipeline tuned for chunk size, overlap, and metadata filtering to retrieve more relevant context for document-specific queries.

Outside of Engineering

Outside of engineering, I work in hospitality, where I’ve developed a strong foundation in customer service, teamwork, and responsibility in fast-moving environments. I’m also active in the Computer Science Club and NSBE, which continue to shape both my academic and professional journey. In my free time, I enjoy working out and playing tennis, which help me stay disciplined, focused, and balanced.
